OVERVIEW:
Scorpio’s the Zodiac sign of altering moods … Prozac’s a mood-altering drug … and, well, men will be men. “Twenty milligrams a day keeps the men in the white jackets away,” opines one neurotic wag.
This satirical comedy follows the trials and tribulations of a group of guys, ages 13-30 (all, as it turns out, Scorpios), who connect in group therapy and all of whom are popping “zac,” soon will be or most certainly should be.
Josh (Seth Macari, Sex Politics & Cocktails), 30, is getting divorced, lost his dream job and just moved in with his parents; Bill (Justin Hartley, Spring Breakdown, NBC’s Passions, The CW’s Smallville) is a struggling actor with a violent streak, mostly directed at himself and his girlfriend (Erin Cummings, Bitch Slap, Starz’s Spartacus: Blood and Sand); as well as a mismatched group suffering a variety of physical and/or emotional maladies.
Alternately funny, ironic, dark and sexy – but never dull – as each embarks on a pharmaceutical-laden journey of self-discovery and survival.
Based on the book by Rand Marsh.
