THE CHALLENGER – PHOTO & MORE

Filming went down as planned last night at the Times Union Center for the final fight scene of ‘Wishing Well Pictures’ new film ‘The Challenger’ starring Kent Moran and Justin Hartley. A photo has surfaced on Twitter courtesy of Kati Palazzo, and appears to be Kent & Justin in the ring, staring each other down. The photo can be found on Kati’s Twitter HERE.

The featured video has also been updated with LastontheList’s video titled ‘Animal I’ve Become’ which features the darker side of Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, Justin’s character on the Smallville series, which ended it’s series run last year. Personally, I think Justin has the chops to pull off these darker/dramatic roles with amazing ease and believablity. I’m hoping to see him embrace this ‘role’ a lot more in the near future. That said, enjoy one of my favorite ‘darker videos’ that I have come across.

BRONX NEW YORK: Star Boxing and Times Union Center officials are pleased to announce that Wishing Well Pictures has chosen the arena to film scenes for their upcoming boxing film “The Challenger” starring Kent Moran and Justin Hartley. TIMES UNION

Wishing Well Pictures chose the Times Union Center in part because of its recent designation as a New York State Qualified Film Production Facility. The movie, “an inspirational boxing drama about family and fate,” is the brainchild of writer-director-lead actor Kent Moran, who will be trading blows with co-star Justin Hartley of “Smallville” and “Passions” fame in the scenes to be shot in Albany. Also in the cast is veteran character actor Ernie Sabella (Pumbaa in “The Lion King”!)  Read more…
